This national-level survey assessed the performance of Bangladesh’s Expanded Program on Immunization in terms, mainly, of childhood vaccination coverage and reproductive women’s TT vaccination coverage. The sample comprised about 23,500 subjects from a total of 1,110 clusters. From each cluster, 7 children aged 12-23 months were selected as subjects in the child sample for the child survey, 7 mothers of under-1 children as subjects in the TT survey, and 7 mothers of under-5 children as subjects in the NID sample for the NIDs survey. Mitra and Associates shared the data collection work 50:50 with another organization and prepared the reports alone.
The survey was commissioned and funded by a coalition of UNICEF, WHO, and IOCH.
