Survey of Chars Livelihood Program on Income and Assets of Households by Assets Transfer Program (ATP, 2006)

The aim of the project was to collect the required baseline economic data on households. This includes data on household income and assets owned. The major tasks carried out include the following: 

 

  • Using the schedules provided by IML, collected data on household income and assets owned  of the 3,174 households 
  • Computing the annual household income and provide summary tables of average income by  village, and by sex of household 
  • Computing the annual household income for the 3,174 households and entered the information into the CLP Access database. The IML made arrangements for installing the  software at Mitra and Associates
  • Entering the information on household assets into the CLP Access database by household.

 

The following deliverables were provided to the client:

 

  • Summary tables of average household income by village, by sex of head of household
  • The annual household income for the 3,174 households calculated and entered into the CLP   Access database
  • The information on household assets entered into the CLP Access database by household

 

The project was awarded by Maxwell Stamp/UK, funded by the DFID and commissioned by the Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives of the Government of Bangladesh.
