Baseline Survey of the NGO Family Planning Services Project of CARE Bangladesh (1993)

The baseline study was conducted to assess the project services rendered by NGOs in greater Rajshahi, Chittagong and Sylhet districts and in Khulna Division. The purpose of the survey was to determine appropriate interventions, set measurable indicators, and evaluate and determine the impact of family planning services in the future. Both qualitative and quantitative data were collected in the survey. Major demographic data were collected in the survey to determine CPR and KAP relating to family planning, estimate the unmet needs for family planning, identify the reasons for not using and discontinuation of family planning methods, identify sources of contraceptive supplies, and ascertain awareness, access to, and utilization of satellite clinics.  

 

On a competitive bid, Mitra and Associates was awarded the contract by CARE- Bangladesh.
