The purpose of the study was to evaluate the activities of the two projects. The activities were to assist the disadvantaged children (street children) in some areas of Dhaka City. The overall objectives were: 

• to assess and document the achievements of the program’s objectives, targets, and output, 
• assess the socioeconomic conditions of the target group (children), 
• assess and compare the approach used in rendering services to the target group, and 
• assess the extent of community participation in the implementation of the projects.

Mitra and Associates was awarded the contract by Radda Barnen.
