The purpose of the follow-up survey was three-fold: 1) to measure and compare the nutritional impact of the School Nutrition Program on the children by taking their anthropometric measurements, 2) to record and compare changes in enrollment and attendance, and 3) to document and compare intervention and control socioeconomic background. The survey had a sample of 2,400 students and their mothers/guardians. Of the 2,400 students, 1,200 were taken from the intervention schools and 1,200 from control schools.
The survey was sponsored and funded by Land O’Lakes Bangladesh, the Bangladesh program of the Land O’ Lakes’ America, America’s largest dairy and agribusiness cooperative.
