Mini-CPS of the Utilization of Traditional Healers (THs) in Family Planning and the Use of Voluntary Agencies for Population Activities (UVAPA) projects of the Family Planning Association of Bangladesh (FPAB, 1988)
The major objectives of the survey were to find out:
how far the traditional healers/volunteers are an effective channel for family planning motivation and service delivery,
attitude of rural people towards the traditional healers/volunteers providing family planning services,
the contraceptive prevalence rate in the area of operation of the projects, and
how far the projects had a cost effective approach.
The survey was undertaken under a contract with the FPAB.
