The purpose of the secondary analysis was to investigate into the differentials between the specific subgroup (such as the landless) of Proshika members and its truly comparable subgroup of respondents interviewed in the non-member category from the data collected in the baseline survey of Proshika Manobik Unnayan Kendra with respect to variables pertaining to education, demographic situation, family planning, employment status, health care indicators, borrowing saving/ lending, and economic situation.

The study was undertaken under a contract awarded by the Canadian High Commission in Dhaka.
